Experience
Working with AMBER
While my photography journey officially began in 2023, I’ve been quietly learning, practicing, and refining behind the scenes for much longer. It wasn’t until 2025 that things truly started to take off—when confidence met experience and I started leaning into my unique voice as an equine and pet photographer.
I’ve always had a natural connection with animals. Whether it’s calming a nervous horse, getting a dog to relax for the camera, or simply knowing when to step back and give space—I read the mood and move with it. Animals respond best when they feel seen and safe, and I bring that energy to every shoot. It’s not about control—it’s about trust.
Photography, to me, is a craft that’s always evolving. I don’t believe you ever “arrive” as an artist—there’s always something new to learn, improve, or experiment with. That’s part of what keeps it exciting. I’m constantly pushing myself to grow—whether that’s learning new techniques, upgrading my gear, or exploring fresh editing styles.
Speaking of editing, it’s one of my favourite parts of the process. It’s where the vision really comes together. I aim for clean, timeless edits that enhance the natural beauty of the moment without overdoing it. I pay attention to the details—the light in a horse’s eye, the softness in a pup’s fur, the colours of a golden hour sky—so every final image feels polished, intentional, and true to life.
Whether I’m capturing a quiet bond between horse and rider or the playful chaos of a muddy dog, I bring care, creativity, and a whole lot of heart to every step of the process.

FAQ
01. How do we book you for a shoot?
Booking a shoot with me is super easy! Just head to my website or social media and send me a message via the contact form or DM. Let me know what kind of session you're looking for (e.g., equine, pet, or both), your location, and any preferred dates.
Once we’ve chatted and found a date that works, I’ll send over all the details, including pricing, session info, and a booking form to secure your spot. A small deposit is usually required to confirm the booking.
Not sure what you want yet? No problem! I’m happy to talk through ideas and help you figure out what kind of shoot will suit you and your animal best.

02. Do you travel for destination shoots?

03. I DONT HAVE HORSES AND WANT A SHOOT WITH ONE OR MORE, WHAT DO I DO?

That’s no problem at all! Fun fact about me—I actually own horses, so there’s a good chance we can arrange something using one of mine.

04. HOW LONG DO WE WAIT UNTIL WE GET OUR PICTURES?

Turnaround time depends on the package you book, but I always aim to deliver your full gallery within one week of your shoot. I know how exciting it is to see your images, so I usually send sneak peeks within 3 days to give you a little preview while I work on the rest!
